Former Ohio House Speaker and current Republican State Senator Jon Husted will face Democrat Mary Ellen O'Shaughnessy, currently the Franklin County Clerk of Courts, in the 2010 Secretary of State race. 

OSN has already had individual meetings with with Ms. O'Shaughnessy and Senator Husted to discuss our concerns with the current outdated notary system and suggestions for notary reform.

We have also extended an invitation to Charlie Earl, the Libertarian candidate.

Obviously, the person holding the SOS office has a huge impact upon all Ohio notaries, and the ability to fulfill our obligations to the public. OSN will ensure Ohio’s notaries will be heard, so please get involved in the process by sharing your thoughts on what YOU think can be improved., so we can provide input from our membership. We will continue our discussions with the candidates throughout the SOS campaign.
